Description

The RX-13 Chipper is our latest engine driven chipper. With a heavier and larger design but still easy to manoeuvre with a 50mm ball hitch and larger tyres. The 13hp commercial briggs and stratton engine is mounted directly in the middle of the machine with weight distribution in mind. This means the chipper can be moved easily by hand and the width of the chipper is 80cm so you can still get into those hard to reach places.
The chipping drum and blade set up is based on our venom 13hp model with two blades and fixed counter blade. This system works perfectly with the angled gravity feed input chute, once the blades take hold of a branch the chipper will start to pull the branch in for chipping. A robust and larger drum design means the RX-13 can cope with branches around 12cm in diameter (approx).
As previously mentioned the RX-13 is powered by a 13hp briggs and stratton OHV engine with electric start.
A Safety cut off button is located on the top of the input chute system to avoid injury or damage to the machine.

RX-13 Chipper I have recently purchased two Rock machines. The log splitter (22 Ton V Series) has been great but I would not recommend the RX-13 Chipper for the following reasons: - TOWING 1) The battery is 3 inches above the ground & therefore subject to knocks on forest tracks / fields. 3 inches is not enough ground clearance especially for a battery that you don't want to get knocked. 2) The machine is very top heavy and therefore wobbles as soon as you go over small bumps that are typical on forest tracks / fields. BLOCKED The drum keeps getting blocked. I've used the machine for approx. 3 hours in total and its been blocked 4-5 times. I've had to take off the feeder and chipper shoot on both occasions to unblock the machine which is awkward when in a woodland. I've been told by Rock its either the belt slipping OR anvil needs resetting. I'll get these looked at but the machine is new so it is disappointing. I've been told I'm the only customer having issues which I can't believe. Rock have not keen to help and said I should have read the description with regards the clearance etc.
